Christine Mackenzie President, Australian Library and
Information Association
Christine MacKenzie is the Dean of
the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Technology,
Sydney. Prior to this she was the Manager of Library and Information Services
at Mornington Peninsula Shire Council in Victoria.
She is the Chair of the Public
Libraries Advisory Committee of the Library Board of Queensland and a member of
the Bertelsmann Foundation, International Network of Public Libraries. She is
an active member of the Australian Library and Information Association and has
been President and Treasurer of the Queensland Branch; Vice-President of the
Victorian Branch; President, Secretary and newsletter editor of the Victorian
Public Libraries Section; and newsletter editor of the Reference and
Information Services Section. She has also been President and Secretary of
VICLINK; Vice-President and Board member of AIMA Training and Consultancy
Services; and on the Course Development Advisory Committee of the Department of
Librarianship, Archives and Records at Monash University. |
