Kathryn Pearson Manager, Postgraduate Services Project,
Macquarie University Library, Australia
Kathryn Pearson is currently
Manager, Postgraduate Services Project at Macquarie University Library. She is
leading research into how services to postgraduate and remote services can be
improved, particularly through use of the LIDDAS software. Prior to this,
Kathryn has held a variety of positions at Macquarie University Library
including Collections Development Manager, Serials and Document Supply Manager
and Document Supply Manager. Kathryn's previous experience includes 9 years at
the University of Sydney Library where she performed in a variety of roles and
several years at the University of Newcastle. Kathryn has extensive experience
in the area of interlibrary loan and document delivery and has been involved
with the LIDDAS Project since 1997. She is currently a member of the LIDDAS
Management and Development Group Steering Committee. Kathryn has been keen to
see the Document Supply Unit at Macquarie University Library improve services
and workflow through the implementation of the vdx and is eager to explore ways
of enhancing services outside of Document Supply using the same software. She
has a strong focus on providing quality customer service in academic libraries
through the use of new and developing technologies. |
