David Reid
Application Support Specialist, National Library of New Zealand

David is currently an Application Support Specialist at the National of New Zealand with particular responsibility for the daily business administration of Te Puna Interloan. Te Puna Interloan is based on the Fretwell-Downing product Virtual Document exchange and David has worked with the software since 1998 and was involved in its implementation in 1999. David was the National Library of New Zealand's representative on the LIDDAS project officers group from 1998 to 2000. Together with Janice Farrelly from the University of Canterbury, David co-presented a workshop based on the 7th International Interlending and Document Supply Conference at the LIANZA Conference 2002, Winds of Change. This workshop addressed six digital issues of particular relevance to New Zealand. With an intervening period in office administration, David has a background in serials management and as a systems librarian, the latter of which included a period of project management. Other interests include being a former school trustee, sports coach and having a penchant for collecting classic (Holden) cars
