Lynn Wiley manages one of the largest ILL offices in the United States, the IRRC (Information Resource Retrieval Center) at the University of Illinois Urbana. She was worked there since 1995 and prior to that, worked at several large academic libraries in the field of access services. She has made many presentations on ILL use and assessment, has shared practical tips, reported on challenges and innovations, and shared her knowledge of best practices in the U.S. and overseas. She has had numerous papers published. The most recent include a statewide assessment of interlibrary loan in Library Collections and Technical Services 26 (1):19-33, 2002 and one on the use of the British Library Document Supply Inside service in the Journal of Access Services,1:151-177, 2002. She has also contributed to monographs covering reference and public service as they relate to access. Lynn is active in many library associations and recently chaired the ALA ILL Committee and is now chairing the ALA ILL Planning committee for a major preconference to be held in Toronto in 2003.
