Who can witness a statutory declaration?

The persons who can witness a statutory declaration are prescribed under the Statutory Declarations Regulations 1993 and include police officers, bank officers and Justices of the Peace amongst many others. Copies of documents can only be certified by a person authorised to witness a statutory declaration.

If you need to locate a Justice of the Peace, look in the Yellow Pages or try your local government's website.
