How can I find Australian Standards?

Standards are available online via Standards Australia Online. This service is only accessible within the Library's Reading Rooms, not offsite, although you might also find this service at your local library. It provides full-text versions of most Australian standards.

For paper copies there is not an individual record for each Australian Standard on the National Library catalogue. There is a single collective record that includes all the Australian Standards held by the Library. Use this record to request a copy of an individual standard to use in the Library's Main Reading Room. For requesting purposes, standards are treated like an issue of a journal. You need to type in the number of the standard in the space provided for the volume number.

Unfortunately, due to restrictions, the Library is unable to provide copies of standards via our Copies Direct service. Standards are also not available for interlibrary loan.
