How can I find Australian Standards?

The National Library holds paper copies of Australian Standards. You can request these through the Library catalogue to read in the Main Reading Room.

Individual standards do not have their own catalogue records; they are grouped under a single catalogue record: Australian standards.

To request an individual standard:

  1. Click the ‘Request this’ button at the bottom of the catalogue record
  2. Log in with your library card details
  3. Type the number of the standard in the ‘Volume/No.’ field of the request screen
  4. Click ‘Submit my request’

If you do not know the number of the Australian Standard you require, you can search the SAI Global Infostore to find it.

For more information on using standards in the National Library see our Standards Research Guide.
