Where can I find Australian company information?

The National Library has a selection of online indexes and databases on companies. Some of these resources are freely available on the internet, some are available offsite to registered readers, whilst others are subscription databases which are only accessible in the National Library Reading Rooms.

For newspaper articles plus a variety of company information, try searching the Factiva database. Freely available websites include: the Australian Securities and Investment Commission and The Australian Stock Exchange. The National Library also has a guide to finding print resources about company information.

Several business directories are available in paper copy, for example: International directory of company histories / writers and researchers and Kompass. Australia.

The National Library can provide copies of certain materials and interlibrary loans for registered users. For more information go to our Copies Direct service.

Trove can help you find and get items at libraries near you. See the FAQ What is Trove and how can I use it?
