Where can I find information on internet hoaxes and scams?

The following websites are useful for checking the accuracy of information found on the internet:

The Korova Multimedia Hoax du Jour index is an alphabetical listing of hoax topics, and includes links to other anti-hoax resources.

The Urban legends reference pages lists urban myths by topic area and includes information on what's new and the hottest 25 legends.

Vmyths sets out to tell the truth about computer virus hysteria. It includes information on virus myths, hoaxes, and urban legends.
