How can I find Australian theses?

The National Library has a guide to locating print references to theses. Generally masters theses and dissertations are deposited at the library of the tertiary institution where the thesis or dissertation was completed. They are best searched via their respective online catalogues - many of which are accessible via the Australian Libraries Gateway or the relevant institutions website.

The most comprehensive search of Australian university theses possible through a single interface is by using Trove . See the FAQ What is Trove and how can I use it?

Theses held by the National Library are on our online catalogue and may be searched by the title or author's name.
