- The Australian Committee on Cataloguing (ACOC) is a joint
Australian Library and Information AssociationNational Library of
Australia committee charged with monitoring and influencing developments in
national and international cataloguing and classification.

- The Conference of Directors of National Libraries (CDNL) is an
independent association of chief executives of national libraries, established
to facilitate discussion and promote understanding and cooperation on matters
of common interest to national libraries worldwide.

- The peak body representing State and Territory libraries and
the National Library throughout Australia.
- Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL)
- The Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) seeks to
improve access by the staff and students of Australian universities to the
information resources that are fundamental to the advancement of teaching,
learning and research. The Director-General of the National Library attends
meetings of CAUL as an observer.

Internet Preservation Consortium
- The National Library of Australia is leading the Working group
on Deep Web Archiving for the International Internet Preservation Consortium.

- IT/19 is a Standards Australia committee which is concerned with standards issues in information.

- The Libraries Australia Advisory Committee (LAAC) provides advice on
strategic and policy issues affecting the delivery of the Libraries Australia service, the
broad direction of service development, and changes occurring in the library
community which are likely to affect services.
- Peak Bodies Forum
- The Peak Bodies Forum is convened by the National Library. It meets annually to look at issues which are relevant across library sectors in Australia.

- Rethinking Resource Sharing Reference Group (RRSRG) is investigating the feasibility of deleloping an end user focus service for easy accesss to interlibrary loans and copies.

to examine issues relating to access to library resources in Australia.
- Australian Subject Gateways Forum
- The Australian Subject Gateways Forum was a group of Australian subject gateway owners collaborating on issues common to gateway projects.
- National Resource Sharing Policy
Committee
- The National Resource Sharing Policy Committee (NRSPC) was set
up to address broad policy issues impacting on inter-library loan and document
delivery in Australia and to provide support, guidance and direction for the
activities of the National Resource Sharing Working Group.
- National Resource Sharing Working
Group
- The National Resource Sharing Working Group (NRSWG) was set up
to ensure that a robust, reliable and cost-effective interlending system, built
on cooperation and agreed service standards and policies, is in place to serve
Australian libraries and their users.
