The conference will be held at the
National Library of Australia, Canberra Australia.
The Library is located on Parkes
Place in the Canberra suburb of Parkes beside Lake Burley Griffin. You
can take an online
tour of the Library building. |

The main venue for
the conference will be the Library's conference room on the 4th Floor of the
National Library building. The Business meeting of the IFLA Newspaper Section
will be held in the Council Room on the 1st Floor
Getting to the Library
Canberra is well serviced with
off-road bicycle paths and there are facilities at the Library for
visitors to secure their cycles.
There is one
taxi service in
Canberra (phone 13 22 27).
Visitor information about the

There are parking spaces for over
350 vehicles and 6 motorcycles. The carparks are patrolled by parking
inspectors so you would be wise to check any time restrictions before leaving
your vehicle. There are 6 'Disabled Persons' car parking spaces and ramp access
on the south (Treasury) side of the building.
Buses run through the area
regularly check their
timetables for
routes and schedules.
