National Resource Sharing Policy Committee

Terms of Reference

The National Resource Sharing Committee shall include members from the Council of Australian Libraries (CAUL), the Council of Australian State Libraries (CASL), the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and the National Library of Australia (NLA). At least one member should also be an office bearer of the National Resource Sharing Working Group.

The National Resource Sharing Policy Committee shall:

  1. address broad policy issues impacting on inter library loan and document delivery in Australia;
  2. communicate advice to and seek input from major library sector and library profession stakeholder groups such as CAUL, CASL, ALIA and the NLA on inter library loan and document delivery policy issues; and
  3. provide support, guidance and direction for the activities of the National Resource Sharing Working Group.

The National Resource Sharing Policy Committee will report formally to the National Library of Australia through its Chair. Each National Resource Sharing Policy Committee member will report directly to their constituent group.

The National Resource Sharing Policy Committee will meet at least twice a year.

A review and evaluation of the National Resource Sharing Policy Committee shall be undertaken after the 31 December 2001.
