Minutes of the ASGF
meeting on 10 June 2005 At this final meeting of the ASGF it was decided
that the group be disbanded. It had fulfilled its original role of providing a
forum for exchange of information between the existing and emerging subject
gateway projects. At present most Australian subject gateways have reached
maturity and need to move to new forms of networking activities.

meeting on 22 November 2004 The meeting, hosted by the University of New
South Wales, was attended by 13 participants, representing 7 subject gateways.
The guest speakers were Fiona Bathgate, ADT Redevelopment Project Officer, and
Judith Pearce, Director Business Analysis Unit, National Library of
Australia.

meeting on 14 May 2004 The meeting, hosted by education.au, was attended
by 13 participants, representing 7 subject gateways. The guest speakers were
Cath Parker, Peter Browne and Geoff Hendrick.

Melbourne, was attended by 14 participants and two guest speakers, who between
them represented 11 subject gateways.

November 2002 The meeting, hosted by Flinders University and chaired by
Garry Putland, education.au limited, was attended by 14 participants, who
represented 8 subject gateways.

on 23 May 2002 This meeting was attended by 19 participants, who
represented 12 subject gateways. The meeting was hosted by the UNSW in
Sydney.

on 31 August 2001 The forth meeting of the ASGF, hosted by AustLit in
Canberra, was attended by 13 participants, who represented 9 subject
gateways.

on 23 February 2001 The third meeting of the ASGF, hosted by
education.au in Adelaide, was attended by 19 participants, who represented 10
subject gateways.
Summary of outcomes of the ASGF meeting
on 30 August 2000 The second meeting of the Australian subject gateway
owners was convened on 30 August 2000 at the Melbourne University. It was
attended by 19 participants, including two observers. They represented 11
subject gateways.
Summary of outcomes of the first meeting
of the Australian Subject Gateway Owners The meeting was convened on 22
February 2000 at the National Library of Australia in Canberra. The
participants represented gateways ranging from established services to projects
which have only received funding this year.
First IMesh Workshop, Warwick, UK, 2-4 June 1999 The
purpose of the workshop was to explore the potential for international
collaboration in subject gateway activity, to identify useful points of
contact, and to promote strategies which lever collective effort in mutually
beneficial ways. Debbie Campbell presented a paper: Australian Subject
Gateways' Information Paper for the IMesh Workshop, Warwick, U.K. 2-4 June
