The National Library offers good opportunities for people looking for short-term or project based employment. We are seeking applications from people who would like to be placed on the Temporary Employment Register. Opportunities may be available in the following areas/categories:

- Preservation services;
- Graphic design;
- Public affairs;
- Exhibitions;
- Corporate communications;
- Information technology;
- Secretarial;
- Research/Projects;
- Document retrieval; and
- Records management.
You can apply for temporary employment using this secure online form. We select applicants for possible interview based on the information that you provide to us within this form. Further information is available in our Privacy policy.
Applications expire after one year. Previous applicants will need to reapply if they wish to remain on the register.
If selected for employment you may be engaged as a non-ongoing employee for a specified period or for the duration of a specified task or for duties which are irregular or intermittent (casual).
