History Teachers' Conference 2013: A Vision Splendid

Attend the 2013 History Teachers' Association of Australia Conference and celebrate the history adn heritage of our nation as Canberra turns 100. Speakers include Robyn Archer, Dr. Jennifer Lawless, Peter FitzSimons, Dr. Michael McKernan and Dr. Neil Oliver.

 

Digital Resources for Schools

Find out how to use the Library’s online services in the classroom. The focus will be on material and resources relating to the new Australian Curriculumfor English, History, and Civics and Citizenship.

Teachers' Night: exhibition viewing and online resources

Join Library staff to find out about the multimodal installation of sounds and images, City of Trees, by Jyll Bradley. A number of related environmental resources are available from the Library’s website. This information session will also focus on the sounds of the Library - new music and oral history resources you can introduce to the classroom. Bring your school ipad if you have one.

Cut, Copy, Paste (ages 12+)

A hands-on zine workshop with Jeremy Staples and Elouise Quinliven. Learn about publishing and distributing zines and make your own. Suitable for teens to seniors, and anyone with a love of zine-making!
