Project description: The Northern Territory Library holds in its collections a substantial body of knowledge about Cyclone Tracy which is unique and not physically available elsewhere. Items from this information have been digitised and made available as a virtual collection through the website.
The purpose of the Cyclone Tracy website is to provide remote client access to information about the Cyclone and its effects on Darwin

Content: The Website comprises graphic meteorological information, photographs, oral histories, video recordings, audio recordings, animated images and text.
Digitisation policy and priorities: No digitisation or online policy.
Timetable: Project completed 1998.
Budget and funding: $A20,000.
Staff resources: Digitisation done inhouse with technical support from QANTM Australia.
Technical standards: Digitised material includes: photographs, sound recordings, film, video and typewritten text.
