Project description: Web service for the Berndt Museum of Anthropology at the University of Western Australia. Features searchable database of descriptions of objects held in the museum, digitisation of photographs of Kimberley objects, guided tour of the Museum. The aim being, provision of improved public access to the collection.

Content: Approximately 30% of the entire collection is involved in this digitisation project.
Digitisation policy and priorities: No digitisation or online policy exists.
Timetable: Completed: July 1997 - June 1998
Budget and funding: Commonwealth government funding - $A100,000 - $A150,000.
Staff resources: Digitisation processes outsourced to private company.
Technical standards:
Cataloguing and indexing: A detailed record is provided for each item, including type of object, place/region/country, description, function, originator, collector.
