description: Digitisation of Evatt and Dunstan Collections. Some digital images may be added to current web pages, and will also be held on CD ROM. Project aims are to prevent further deterioration from use, and to enhance access for bona fide researchers. |

| Budget and funding: | $4000 has been allocated for Evatt photos. |
| Staff resources: | Library photographic staff will take slide copies of the photographs. The slides will then be sent to Kodak to be scanned on to CD-Roms. The matching of the images to the databases of photographs will be completed in house. |
| Technical standards: | Digitised materials include: photographs,
sound recordings, handwritten material, video, typewritten text, paintings and
press clippings. Photos will be copied to 35mm film then scanned to Kodak photo CD format. Photo CD resolution between 128 - 2048 dpi. Indexes of photographs for both Collections have been compiled in ClarisWorks. |
| Cataloguing and indexing: | Each photograph is represented by a record in a database. Fields include Date, People, Description. When the CD -Roms are received, each record will be annotated with an image number to match the corresponding photo. Thumbnails may also be added. |
