Content: Scanned images (TV broadcast resolution: 756x560 pixels in 16.7 million colours). Images are compressed using JPEG. Quicktime has been incorporated, allowing use of VR and interactive movies. Each image has an complete bibliographic record and all words in the record can be indexed and searched. Both the descriptors and the search strategies are under review.Currently the database consists of over 1000 images, primarily of Queensland historic buildings. These images include a wide range of domestic, public, mining and agricultural buildings which have been photographed over the last 27 years. Many of these buildings are previously unrecorded in any accessible form and several have since been demolished.
