Project description: PictureNT preserves images in the Northern Territory Library’s photographic collection by providing client access to digital surrogates. The digitised collection can be found in a repository on the Library’s website.

Content: The Northern Territory Library holds a collection of over 100,000 photographs and transparencies relating to the Northern Territory. 63,000 images have been digitised

Technical standards: Digitised material consists of photographs. Dspace software used for digital repository.

Images have been scanned as JPEG files at a resolution of 760 x 568 pixels in 16.7M colours with an average file size of 50k.

Cataloguing and indexing: Completed by Library staff
