New Libraries Australia Search - implemented changes update

Dear Colleagues

A release was implemented this morning to resolve the following issues with new Libraries Australia Search:

* The header and footer of the Add Record and Edit Holdings screens are now displaying correctly

* Access to the external database CISTI is now working

* When viewing a saved record the system no longer adds a query to the Search History

* Published After / Published Before and Record created After / Record created Before limits on the Advanced Search screen now work correctly

* There is now more space between fields on the full view screen to improve readability

We are also working on the addressing the following and will advise when these have been implemented:

* Adding the sort order for saved records by date saved (i.e. latest saved first) to the new sort options available for Saved Records

* Correctly identifying LADD libraries in the holdings table

* Additional information about citation formats on the download and email screens and "Cite This" (the RIS format is used by citation managers such as Endnote, Reference Manager, Refworks and Zotero but we hadn't made this obvious)

We have received some very useful feedback already (some of the changes above are as a result of this), and we'd really appreciate it if you would keep letting us know if you find that we've changed something in a way that makes your work more difficult, or that something doesn't seem to be working correctly. We'd also of course appreciate hearing what you particularly like about the new service. A feedback form is available from each page of the LA Search interface until 30 September 2014 for this purpose.

If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk on 1800 026 155 or
