Kinetica Innovation Awards
2003
NATURE OF THE AWARD
At the 2003 Kinetica Annual Users' Meeting, Kinetica will present an award/s to the library, information service or organisation which has, in the opinion of the judging panel, made the most innovative use of Kinetica. Up to three awards will be presented for innovative use of Kinetica including the following categories:
Library Users |
Innovations that primarily benefit the library user, including providing access to the resources of Australian libraries. |
Library Operations |
Innovations that improve the efficiency or effectiveness of an area of operation of a library. |
Partnership |
Technological innovations demonstrating partnerships and strategic alliances with industry, the community and/or in other institutions. |
Leadership |
For overall leadership in the use of Kinetica in any library sector or area. |
PRIZE
The Award consists of a free registration at the Kinetica Annual Users'
Meeting, an engraved plaque, inclusion in the Kinetica Award register and
$3,000 towards the organizations Kinetica account for the following year. Award
winners will be announced at the Kinetica Annual Users' Meeting and will be
required to deliver a short presentation on their innovation.
ELIGIBILITY
All Kinetica customers are eligible to nominate including branch
libraries or parts of libraries or organisations, which are Kinetica
customers.
Kinetica customers may nominate for more than one category of
award.
Applications must not exceed 500 words.
Applications must
be submitted by June 30th 2003.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Please download the online
application form and submit it, along with supporting documentation by
close of business June 30th 2003.

· description of the
purpose of the project or innovation;
· technical and administrative
details; and
· a statement on the benefits of the project or
innovation.

CONDITIONS
The Committee may decide not to make an Award in the event of there
being no nominations deemed suitable in the opinion of the judging panel.
Entries from institutions affiliated with members of the judging panel will be
ineligible to enter.
