On Monday 9 August 2010 we will be releasing a new version of our Cataloguing System. This update will require no action on the part of Libraries Australia members.
As a result of the upgrade there will be a necessary downtime of the cataloguing service via the Cataloguing Client and Web Cataloguing. Cataloguing will be unavailable from 6pm Friday 6 August. Searching in LA Search and LADD will continue to operate as usual. Following the upgrade services will return to normal early on Monday 9 August.
We apologise for the inconvenience and would like to direct your attention to the CBS 5.0 release notes which document the new functionality that will be present in the upgrade, including 2 way updating of records with WorldCat and automatic transliteration of Greek and Cyrillic scripts.
