Issues Raised at Recent Cataloguing Workflows Workshops

Kinetica Cataloguing Workflows Workshop

Kinetica have run Cataloguing Workflows Workshops in all states and territories over May-September 2004. The workshops provided a forum for Cataloguing managers and practitioners to actively engage in discussion about the various factors involved in establishing and maintaining efficient cataloguing workflows, and to share with others in the group the benefits of their expertise and experience.

Aims of the workshops

  • to enable Australian libraries to optimise cataloguing workflows to get the best from Kinetica
  • to assist libraries to get the best use from their local cataloguing system
  • to enable all libraries to maximise the benefits from Kinetica through shared cataloguing, resource discovery and interlending.

The workshops were not intended to provide a forum for discussion of specific cataloguing problems and issues, but provide a forum for cataloguing managers and practitioners to actively engage in discussion about the various factors involved in establishing and maintaining efficient cataloguing workflows, and to share with others in the group the benefits of their expertise and experience.

A summary of the workshop evaluations and the workshop notes will shortly be posted on this page.
