Enhanced requesting allows users to submit ILL requests directly from Libraries Australia Search. For responding libraries in LADD, handling incoming requests from Libraries Australia Search will be no different from handling standard LADD requests. Access to enhanced requesting is account/password protected and libraries can choose which account they want it turned on for (i.e. end user, circulation or an ILL staff account).
When it is turned on, new ILL requests submitted via Libraries Australia Search will appear in your library’s LADD account as Idle > For Manual Authorisation. These requests require you to action them as Authorised before they are actually sent out to other locations on the rota. There is an email alert available to alert you once a request has arrived at your LADD location as Idle > For Manual Authorisation.
When selecting an item to be requested in Libraries Australia Search via enhanced requesting, please ensure that it has holding location/s listed in the Libraries that have this item field.
For more information, or if you would like to sign up for enhanced requesting, please contact the Help Desk.
