NLNZ changes to Te Puna - what it means for Libraries Australia #3

Libraries Australia has now implemented a change to the Libraries Australia Search Service in response to the National Library of New Zealand’s (NLNZ) move to a cloud-based serviced hosted by OCLC.

The external database links OCLC WorldCat and Te Puna (New Zealand NBD) have now been combined into the single search target OCLC WorldCat (including Te Puna). This reflects that the New Zealand National Union Catalogue is now represented as the Te Puna view on WorldCat.

You can further refine your search using Te Puna Search, the new discovery layer where you can search the combined catalogue of New Zealand libraries – https://tepuna.on.worldcat.org/discovery

You will notice this change on the Advanced search screen as follows:

We are continuing to work with the system vendor and conduct system testing to implement the required changes to the Libraries Australia Document Delivery service. Further details, including any required configuration changes, will be provided in the coming weeks.

Please contact the Libraries Australia Help Desk http://www.nla.gov.au/librariesaustralia/contact/ with any questions regarding these changes.
