Access to RDA

The RDA instructions are available as part of an online package called the RDA Toolkit. The RDA Toolkit is published by the Co-Publishers for RDA who are made up of the American Library Association, the Canadian Library Association and the publishing arm of CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.

Information about the RDA Toolkit is available at the Co-Publishers website at http://www.rdatoolkit.org/. The site also has  pricing information, training information and resources including webinars on using the Toolkit.

The Co-Publishers have a blog to connect with RDA Toolkit users to better understand their needs and to communicate the Co-Publisher's plans, goals, and development objectives relating to the RDA Toolkit.

The site includes full details for consortia and group subscriptions and special extensions for training and classroom access. There is also notice of a double-user offer for those who subscribe to the RDA Toolkit before August 31, 2012.

The Co-Publishers are working with third parties, including the Library of Congress, OCLC, and others to make linking from third party software like Cataloger’s Desktop, OCLC Connexion and LIS vendor systems to the RDA Toolkit as seamless and user-friendly as possible.

Print products

The Co-Publishers are offering full-text loose-leaf print versions of both RDA: Resource Description and Access and the RDA: Element Set View.
