A  Flutter of Butterflies is a stunning showcase of butterfly and moth illustrations dating from the 1770s through to the turn of the 21st century.  The book, which features gorgeous colour images, includes an introductory essay about the history of collecting, identifying and recording Australian butterflies and moths. In addition, there are biographical essays about the artists, including Louisa Anne Meredith, Marian Ellis Rowan and Charles McCubbin.

Author Dr Michael Braby is Curator of Entomology at the Museum and Art Gallery Northern Territory and a leading authority on the taxonomy, biology and natural history of Australian butterflies and day-flying moths. Dr Penny Olsen is a research scientist and natural history writer.
