This collection was donated by Meredith Hinchliffe, a member of
the Women's Electoral Lobby and other feminist organisations,
in October 1982. The papers comprise correspondence, newsletters,
reports, submissions, conference papers, speeches, press releases
and bumper stickers relating to her involvement with the Women's
Electoral Lobby; subject files on various women's issues; newsletters
from other women's organisations; publications; press clippings
and articles on women's issues.

This series contains correspondence, newsletters, reports, submissions,
conference papers, speeches, press releases, bumper stickers and
policy statement relating to the Women's Electoral Lobby. Included
also are some newsletters from other women's organisations such
as Women's Union Committee, Women in Management, and Women and
Work. The major correspondents include A.A. Street (Minister
of Employment and Industrial Relations), James McClelland (Minister
of Labor and Immigration), Shirley Sampson (Monash University),
Clare Dunne, Fae Ray, Ita Buttrose (Editor of Cleo), and
Enid Prendergast.
