Join the Friends of the National Library on Sunday October 30 to celebrate the life and work of acclaimed Australian writer Alex Miller.

Each year the Friends celebrate the achievements of someone who has contributed greatly to Australian writing and culture and this year they have chosen twice winner of this nation's premier literary prize, the Miles Franklin award - Alex Miller.

The event will feature a keynote address by writer Dr Adrian Caesar and an 'in conversation' between Miller and 666 ABC broadcaster Genevieve Jacobs. This will be followed by afternoon tea and a book signing.
