Trove welcomes Powerhouse collection

Trove welcomes Powerhouse collection
4 November 2011

The National Library has welcomed more than 100,000 digital records from the Powerhouse Museum into its award-winning Trove online discovery service.

The integration of the Powerhouse Museum's entire digitised collection into Trove shows how this country's leading cultural institutions can work together to ensure all Australians have free online access to treasures from the national collections.

Trove, which was launched last year, now has more than 4.5 million users annually. The free online service, about Australia and Australians, allows users to find everything from books to photographs, manuscripts to maps - along with millions of digitised newspaper articles - at the press of a button.
