Folk Fellowship applications closing soon

Folk singers, musicians, dancers, poets and other performance artists are invited to apply for the 2013-2014 National Folk Fellowship.

The annual fellowship is offered jointly by the National Library of Australia and the National Folk Festival.

The National Library holds the most significant folklore collection in the country and the winning Fellow will receive special access to the collection for use in their artistic work. The winner will also receive $4000 in travel/accommodation support and $4000 for a performance and workshop at the National Folk Festival. The recordings will be acquired for the National Library's Oral History and Folklore Collection.

Applications for the 2013-2014 National Folk Fellowship close on 1 July 2013.
