The Business of Nature

The Business of Nature
21 April 2011

Hear author and historian Roslyn Russell talk about her new book, The Business of Nature: John Gould in Australia on Saturday 7 May in the National Library Foyer.

The new book, published by the National Library, looks at the life and times of Gould who, with his wife Elizabeth, left their family and home in London to travel to Van Diemen’s land where he would spend a lifetime studying the native fauna. He was to become known as the ‘father of Australian ornithology’.
