Travels in China
Experience China: The Arts of China
Talks / Lecture
Join photographer and performer William Yang as he reflects on his recent journey through China.
After completing a Bachelor of Architecture at Queensland University, Yang moved to Sydney in 1969, where he worked as a freelance photographer documenting Sydney's social life. In the mid-1880s, he began to explore his Chinese heritage. His photographic themes expanded to include landscapes and the Chinese in Australia, and he made several visits to China.
Since then, he has expanded into performance art while continuing to exhibit his photography. His work in both formats has been viewed around the world.
William Yang's Blood Links is on show at the Canberra Theatre Centre from 12 - 23 April 2016. More info and bookings. Yang will present a floor talk on his works in the exhibition on 23 April at 2pm. Bookings can be made via 6207 3968 or firstname.lastname@example.org
