[Australia's Oral History Collections: A National Collection]

How to update an entry

Each oral history collection entry on the database may be updated through the online update forms. If, however, you do not have access to the Internet to do this yourself, you may send us details of the changes which need to be made and they'll be made for you.

Passwords

Each oral history collection entry on the database may be updated through the online update forms.

If you loose or forget your password for update, contact the Oral History section at the National Library of Australia on 02 6262 1545, fax 6262 1653 or email oralhist@nla.gov.au.

Online update

To update oral history collection details online, you will need a Web browser which is JavaScript and cookie enabled. We also recommend that you make updates with only one version of your Web browser open. If you don't have Internet access to update your entry online yourself, we can help!

To update online:

  1. Find your collection entry on the database - use the Search option.

  2. Follow the 'Update these collection details' link at the bottom of your entry and use your password to login for update.

  3. Proceed through the update forms - adding, removing or editing details as required. Follow the on-screen instructions.

What can I include in the Directory?

Update by post, phone, fax or email

We realise that not everyone will be able to use the online forms to update so are happy to help you. Please phone, fax or email us with the details, or you may prefer use our printed form (available for you to download and print locally) and post it to us.

New collections

This directory is founded on information collected in 1995-1997 for a printed publication and we're always glad to hear about new Australian oral history collections which should be added! Please use our online form to report new collections - an entry will be established and password issued as soon as possible.

You needn't limit yourself to one entry within the database - if you have multiple oral history collections, why not give each of them an individual entry and description?
