'Average delivery' refers to the time it takes us to process your request. It doen't include the time taken for the request to reach us or the time for the copy to reach you.

You will be contacted if there is a delay or the service you have requested is not available.

For large or complex copying requests delivery time will vary. In these instances you will be contacted and we will advise accordingly.

Oral history and maps

  • Normal Service – average 10 working days

Material requested from another library (interlibrary loan/copy requests) on your behalf

Average delivery time refers to the time taken for the request to be sent to the other library and the material/response to be received at the National Library.

How do I check on progress with my order? 

If you do not receive the copy or loan you ordered within the time frame you selected, please contact us.
