- ARROW Discovery Service (Australian Research Repositories Online to the World) - provides access to the research outputs of Australia's universities.
- Australian Academy of Science - promotes science through a range of activities.
- Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre - includes online resources, including Bright Sparcs (biographical database of scientists), and the online version of Technology in Australia 1788-1988.
- CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) - one of the largest and most diverse scientific research organisations in the world dealing with astronomy and space; energy; environment; farming and food; health and medicine; information and communication technology; manufacturing; materials; mining and minerals; and transpoirt and infrastructure.
- Defence Science and Technology Organisation - role is to ensure the expert, impartial and innovative application of science and technology to the defence of Australia and its national interests; access provided to online publications, including technical reports and journal articles.
- Science Portal (Department of Education, Science and Training (Australia)) - targets the research community, investors and industry, and deals with agricultural and veterinary sciences; biological sciences and biotechnology; engineering; environmental and earth sciences; information and communications technology; mathematical, physical and chemical sciences; and medical and health sciences.

- Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (Australia) - has the dual roles of providing customer services to the agricultural, food, fisheries, forest and food industries, and addressing the challenges of natural resource management.
- Environment Portal - gateway to Australian environment resources on the Internet providing access to Federal, State and Local Governments' online services and information organised by seven broad environmental themes - atmosphere, biodiversity, coasts and oceans, environment protection, heritage, inland waters, and land.
- Fisheries Research and Development Corporation - plans, invests in, and manages fisheries research and development throughout Australia.
- Institute of Foresters of Australia - provides a detailed summary of forestry in Australia and links to relevant websites.
