Long-Term Preservation of Web Archives - Experimenting with Emulation and Migration Methodologies: IIPC Project to Evaluate Emulation and Migration as Long-Term Preservation Solutions for Web Archives

This project report (54 p.) describes a study undertaken for the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) Preservation Working Group at the National Library of Australia. The study considers the pros and cons of emulation and migration as preservation strategies for web archives and presents the results of experiments undertaken with content from the PANDORA web archive.

New Zealand Web Harvest 2010 Options Paper

Report and Recommendations from the Scholarly Publishing Roundtable
Scholarly Publishing Roundtable (Date Created: 12 Jan 2010) (United States of America)
This report (31 p.) includes recommendations from the Scholarly Publishing Roundtable which was convened in June 2009 by the Committee on Science and Technology of the United States House of Representatives in coordination with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to report on expanding public access to journal articles based on research funded by US government agencies. Of particular note is the recommendation that government access policies should address the need to resolve the challenges of long term digital preservation.
