Description: Two collection databases describe the National Archives holdings: 1. RecordSearch is the National Archives collection database. It contains descriptions of 80,000 collections (called series) and over 2,500,000 record items as well as details of about 9000 creators and depositors. It allows you to access detailed information not only about each series of records, but also about the history and structure of the agencies (or individuals) who created them. 2. PhotoSearch allows you to search and browse over 128,000 captions and more than 9000 images from the National Archives' photographic collection.
