Staff Training

During the year a Training Strategy Committee was established to identify strategic training required to support the delivery of initiatives under the Library's Balanced Scorecard. As a result of this initiative 254 staff attended Digital Awareness training, 379 attended Balanced Scorecard presentations and 143 staff completed IT Desktop training. Preliminary work was also completed for training on project management including business case development.

The Library also continued its use of Personal Development Plans (PDP) for staff as the primary mechanism for determining general staff training needs. During the year, 828 PDP training requests were received with 100 per cent of applicants offered training.

The combined outlay on training and development was $159 600.
