It also fits well with Blue Angel's business model of providing innovative, XML-based solutions to meet the information needs of organizations worldwide", continued Restivo.
"The Library will use the Blue Angel software to provide targeted resource discovery services," said Warwick Cathro, Assistant Director General, Information Technology. "We are impressed with Blue Angels support for open standards such as Z39.50 and XML which positions it well to interoperate with other software products that the Library is using. We expect that in using an off-the-shelf product to provide resource discovery services on the web, the Library will be able to realize significant productivity improvements in deployment of new applications".
