Carlotta comes to Canberra
Carlotta, the dynamic producer, director, designer and cabaret performer came to the region recently for appearances at the Queanbeyan School of Arts Cafe. While here, Bill Stephens interviewed her at the National Library for an oral history series featuring Australias premier entertainers. From her early days at The Rheinschloss Revue in Sydneys Kings Cross to her present show, she recounted the highlights of her glamorous career. She also talked about the people she has worked with and gave her professional opinion of the entertainment industry as she has seen it evolve over many years.
Carlotta has travelled the world, staring in and producing her own shows from Paris to Las Vegas. Her elegance and exotic talent are still in strong demand as her recent success reveals. Famous for her panache and gorgeous gowns, she enthused about the Birds! exhibition, remarking with characteristic wit that she had spent half her life in feathers.
