Kinetica Annual Users Meeting
This years Kinetica Annual Melbourne on 28 and 29 August at the Hotel Sofitel.
Steve
OConnor, Chief Executive Officer of CAVAL Ltd, who will chair this
years meeting, said the Annual Users Meeting was an important forum
for all Kinetica members to think about and raise Kinetica issues or
concerns.
It is my wish to make this meeting a stimulating occasion addressing the many issues which confront this area of our profession, he said.
As a result of feedback received from those attending last years meeting there will be increased opportunity for membership participation while formal contributions from the National Library will be pared back, covering topics such as future developments of the software and a brief report from the Kinetica Office. Members of various committees and user groups, such as the Expert Advisory Groups, will present views and reports on their activities. Kinetica customers and user groups have been invited to submit topics for discussion at the meeting and particularly for this years parallel sessions, which will be the place for extended discussion of important issues.
The questions on notice session will be handled differently this year,
with general questions answered and discussed at the meeting. General
questions will be grouped into topics, to assist the flow of the meeting.
General questions from the floor of the meeting will be welcome. Detailed
operational questions will be answered on the Kinetica web site, rather
than at the meeting.
