National Library of Australia Seminar:
Digital Developments and New Initiatives

The National Library has announced two forthcoming seminars—the first on Tuesday 24 July 2001 at the Queensland Cultural Centre Auditorium and the second on Monday 12 November 2001 at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre, immediately preceding the ALIA Public Libraries Conference.

Both events will provide an opportunity for libraries to find information on developments by the National Library of Australia, particularly initiatives and digital services. The sessions will cover digitisation—for maps, manuscripts, music and sound, developments in Kinetica and document delivery. We will be demonstrating services that can be used in all libraries for reference, for technical services and document delivery. The seminars will include information on Community Heritage Grants and touring exhibitions.

Bookings and enquiries can be made by either phoning 1800 026 155 (toll free number) or emailing market@nla.gov.au
