This year’s conference explored the theme of the ‘exotic’ as it refers to something foreign or strange as well as its non-geographical origins. With over 90 international and Australian delegates at the conference, speakers included Greg Dening, Harriet Guest, Christa Knellwolf, Jonathan Lamb, Iain McCalman, Robert Maccubbin, and Marta Petrusewicz.
