Amelia McKenzie Leaves for Scotland

Amelia McKenzie, Senior Manager in the Library’s Technical Services Branch has been appointed Head of Cataloguing Services at the National Library of Scotland. She left Canberra for Edinburgh in mid-May.

Amelia came to the National Library from the State Library of Victoria. She has worked in a variety of positions within the Library, including serials, acquisitions, reference services and the Library’s policy secretariat. From 1994 to 1996 Amelia was the Library’s Regional Officer in Jakarta where she contributed greatly to raising the profile of the Acquisition Office and establishing contacts with Indonesian libraries and librarians.

An active supporter of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), she has served several terms as Chair of IFLA’s Regional Section for Asia and Oceania.

Amelia leaves the Library with the good wishes of many friends and colleagues both within the National Library and in libraries throughout the region.
