Library Goes to Market for New System
The National Library of Australia has advertised a Request for Expressions of Interest for the replacement of its integrated library management system. The Request for Expressions of Interest includes an outline of the Librarys broad requirements, to enable both the Library and potential suppliers to determine which suppliers may have the capability and capacity to undertake the project.
The closing date has now passed, and the Library is evaluating responses. The intention is to form a short list of potential tenderers selected from Respondents to this Request for Expressions of Interest. The Library may then seek formal offers for the provision of a system in a second procurement phase.
For interest, the Librarys Request for Expressions of Interest may still be viewed on its web site at www.nla.gov.au/tenders/01/029/
It is planned to select the new system this year, with implementation to
be completed in 2002.
