New Appointments in Technical Services

The National Library’s Technical Services Branch has recently made a number of new appointments.

Angela Brown has been appointed as the Manager of Overseas Collection Development. Angela will replace Philip Jackson who has been oversighting overseas collection development since March. Margaret Phillips now occupies the newly created position of Manager, Digital Archiving. Julie Whiting is the new Manager of Serials Cataloguing, and Stephen Lacey is now the Manager of the Library’s integrated library management system.

Ann Triffett is currently acting in the position of Manager of the Monographs Section, and Anne Daniels is acting as Manager of the Electronic Unit.

Several staff have been confirmed in the positions in which they have been working for some time. They are Christine Foster, Manager of the Serials Section, Ros McDonald, Manager of Australian Collection Development, and Deirdre Kiorgaard, Manager, Cataloguing.

In addition, Julia Trainor is managing the Integrated Library Management System Replacement Project for the National Library. Julia is located in Technical Services although she is working closely with staff from many parts of the Library.
