Library Receives Donation from
Australian Artist Gordon Hanley

Eastern Rosella

Well-known Australian artist Gordon Hanley recently donated a set of six limited edition bird prints to the National Library. The life-size images are limited to 250 sets and emanate from Gordon’s work as Wildlife Artist-in-Residence at the Queensland Museum.

Gordon’s work is already represented in the Library’s Collection. Last year the Library acquired Jewels of Nature: The Parrots, which includes 60 paintings of parrots in their national habitat and 62 life-size studies.
