The Australia–Thailand Association (Canberra) aims to foster social and cultural relations between Thais and Australians. On the evening of Thursday 5 September around 30 members of the Association visited the National Library’s Asian Collections. This was for a special talk, tour and light refreshments. The National Library houses one of the world’s leading Thai language research collections outside Thailand itself. The visitors enjoyed a display of illustrated publications on Thai arts and culture, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the Asian stacks. The evening was arranged with John Milne, President of the Association.
